Effect of modified Dahuang Mudan decoction on gastrointestinal function recovery in patients undergoing laparo-scopic appendectomy
Objective:To study the effect of modified Dahuang Mudan decoction on gastrointestinal function recovery in pa-tients undergoing laparoscopic appendectomy.Methods:86patients who underwent laparoscopic appendectomy in our hospital from May 2021to September 2022were selected and randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group using a random number table method,with 43patients in each group.The former received postoperative routine supportive treatment,while the latter re-ceived additional treatment with modified Dahuang Mudan Tang based on the control group.Observe the postoperative recovery of bowel sounds,exhaust gas,first bowel movement time,gastrointestinal hormone levels,treatment efficacy,levels of inflammatory factors,and postoperative complications in two groups of patients..Results:The postoperative recovery time of bowel sounds,ex-haust time and first defecation time in the treatment group were shorter than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After surgery,the levels of gastrin(GAS)and motilin(MTL)in both groups decreased,but the levels in treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Clinical efficacy in the two groups was comparable(P＞0.05).After surgery,the levels of inflammatory factors(CRP and IL-6)in both groups increased,but the levels in treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence of complications in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Modified Dahuang Mudan decoction can effectively accelerate the recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients undergoing laparoscopic appendectomy,regulate gastrointestinal hormones,control inflam-matory reactions,and reduce the risk of complications.
