Combined allergic rhinitis-asthma syndrome(CARAS)is a prevalent allergic disease of the respiratory system that falls under the'one airway,one disease'category.Its treatment is often intractable and limited in Western medicine.Howev-er,traditional Chinese medicine has proved to be effective in reducing patients' symptoms,lowering the recurrence rate,and a-chieving remarkable results.Based on the basic theory of Fuxie,this paper discusses the characteristics,etiology and pathogene-sis treatment principins of CARAS,toprovide ideas and methods for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
