Professor Zhang Xiaoyun proposed the academic viewpoint of"stagnation of the viscera"to guide the treatment of internal medicine diseases.This article takes common diseases in the lung,heart and brain,spleen and stomach,and kidney sys-tems as examples to reveal the universality of emotional disorders in internal medicine from a physiological and pathological per-spective.Evidence based medical research results are used to support the viewpoint of"visceral depression",and clinical treat-ment experience based on this theory is introduced.
