Influenceof mild moxibustion at Yifeng acupoint combined with acupuncture on facial nerve paralysis degree and function in patients with facial neuritis
Objective To explore the influence of mild moxibustion at Yifeng acupoint combined with acupuncture on facial nerve paralysis degree and function in patients with facial neuritis.Methods 60patients with facial neuritis in our hospital from Jan-uary 2019to November 2023were selected and randomly divided into control group(n=30,routine treatment combined with acu-puncture)and observation group(n=30,mild moxibustion at Yifeng acupoint on the basis of control group).The TCM syn-dromes scores,facial nerve paralysis degree and function,efficacy,facial disability index,inflammation level and adverse reac-tions were compared between groups.Results(1)Compared with before treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes in both groups were decreased after treatment(P＜0.05),and the scores in observation group were lower than those in control group(P＜0.05).(2)After treatment,the proportions of facial nerve function grading scale(H-B)grade Ⅰ and grade Ⅱ and H-B score in observa-tion group were higher than those in control group(P＜0.05)while the proportion of H-B grade V was lower than that in control group(P＜0.05).(3)The observation group had higher total effective rate(P＜0.05)(4)Compared with before treatment,the social function score in both groups was reduced after treatment,and the score in observation group was lower(P＜0.05).The physical function scorewas increased in both groups after treatment compared with that before treatment,and the score was higher in observation group(P＜0.05).(5)Compared with before treatment,the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP)and tumor necro-sis factor(TNF-α)in the two groups were declined after treatment,and the levels in observation group were lower compared to control group(P＜0.05).(6)There were no statistical differences in adverse reactions between groups after treatment(P＞0.05).Conclusion For patients with facial nerve neuritis,mild moxibustion at Yifeng acupoint combined with acupuncture can improve TCM symptoms,facial nerve paralysis degree and function and facial disability index,and it is conducive to improving ef-ficacy and reducing inflammation level,with high safety and application value.
