Professor Tang Wenfu's Clinical Experience in Treating Chronic Pancreatitis with Classical Prescriptions
Recurrent and difficult-to-alleviate upper abdominal pain is a primary symptom of chronic pancreatitis,particu-larly when accompanied by pancreatic duct stones and multiple pseudocysts.Traditional analgesic interventions in Western medi-cine have consistently shown limited effectiveness in managing this condition, representing one of the significant challenges in the treatment of digestive system diseases.Professor Tang Wenfu has analyzed the pathogenesis of this condition, integrating the diag-nostic principles of six channels syndrome differentiation system in Shang Han Lun to simplify complex treatments. This approach categorizes the acute exacerbation and recovery phases of chronic pancreatitis, aiming to address the challenges associated with in-tractable pain, abscesses, and the presence of multiple pseudocysts. This summary of Professor Tang's clinical experience aims to provide new insights into the Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis and treatment of chronic pancreatitis.
