The connotation of the theory of"liver and kidney homology"lies in the homology of essence and blood of the two viscera and the mutal generation of mother and child viscera.Sjogren's syndrome(SS)belongs to the category of"dryness impedi-ment"in traditional Chinese medicine,and its core pathogenesis is the deficiency of kidney Yin.Based on the theory of homology of liver and kidney,clinical attention was paid to the pathogenesis of water(kidney)deficiency and wood(liver)excessiveness.With the method of treating liver and kidney together,Zishui Qinggan which can nourish the kidney while soothing the liver was used to treat Sjogren's syndrome,and the clinical effect was very good.
