Effect of Yibi Decoction combined with Acupuncture for Regulating Du Meridian and Tendons on lumbar disc her-niation and its influence on serum levels of PGE2,TXB2 and IL-23
Objective:To explore the efficacy of Yibi Decoction combined with Acupuncture for Regulating Du Meridian and Tendons in the treatment of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation and its influence on the levels of serum prostaglandin E2(PGE2),thromboxane B2(TXB2)and interleukin-23(IL-23).Method:112 patients with lumbar disc herniation were select-ed as the study objects who were admitted to our hospital from March 2022 to January 2024.They were divided into Western medi-cine group(treated with conventional western medicine)and Chinese medicine group(treated with Yibi Decoction combined with Acupuncture for Regulating Du Meridian and Tendons)by random number table method,with 56 cases in each group.The clini-cal effect,lumbar function before and after treatment,TCM syndrome score and serum PGE2,TXB2 and IL-23 levels were com-pared between the two groups.Results:Compared with the Western group,the total effective rate of TCM group was higher signifi-cantly(83.93%vs 96.43%,P<0.05).Compared with before treatment,ODI score and TCM syndrome score of the two groups decreased,JOA score increased after 1 month of treatment,and the above score changes in the TCM group were greater than those in the western group significantly(P<0.05).Serum levels of PGE2,TXB2 and IL-23 in both groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment,and the above indexes in the Chinese medicine group were lower than those in the western medicine group significantly(P<0.05).Conclusion:Yibi Decoction combined with Acupuncture for Regulating Du Meridian and Tendons for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of patients,improve the function of lumbar spine,regulate the level of inflammation and pain mediators in the body,and improve the clinical efficacy.
