Clinical effects of Jianpi Wenshen Huatan Qushi Decoction in treating PCOS with insulin resistance and the influ-ence on bilateral ovarian volume,sexual hormone levels,and glucose and lipid metabolism
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of Jianpi Wenshen Huatan Qushi Decoction on PCOS with IR,and the influence on ovarian volume,sexual hormones and glucose and lipid metabolism.Methods A total of 136 patients with PCOS and IR who were admitted to the hospital from June 2020 to July 2022 were divided into two groups using the random number ta-ble.68 patients in the control group were treated with conventional western medicine,and 68 patients in the observation group were treated with Jianpi Wenshen Huatan Qushi Decoction on this basis.Therapeutic effects,TCM syndrome scores,bilateral o-varian volume,the levels of sexual hormones and glucose and lipid metabolism indicators were compared between groups.Results After treatment,the total effective rate was 94.12%in the observation group,higher than 88.24%in the control group(χ2=1.462,P=0.227).After treatment,the scores for menstrual cycle and soreness and weakness of waist and knees,and bilateral o-varian volume of both groups decreased.Above indicators of the observation group were lower(P<0.05).The levels of LH,LH/FSH and T decreased,and levels in the observation group were lower.The levels of FSH and SHBG increased,and levels in the observation group were higher(P<0.05).FINS,FPG and HOMA-IR decreased.The three indicators in observation group were lower.APN levels in both groups increased,and the observation group had higher APN level(P<0.05).Conclusion Jianpi Wen-shen Huatan Qushi Decoction is effective in treating PCOS with IR.It can effectively improve TCM syndrome scores,regulate the levels of sexual hormones and glucose and lipid metabolism indicators in the patients.
