Effectof Sijun Bufei Decoction in the treatment of cough after radical operation for NSCLC and the impact on pulmo-nary function and inflammatory factors
Objective:To observe the effect of Sijun Bufei Decoction in the treatment of cough after radical operation for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)and the impact on pulmonary function and inflammatory factors.Methods:150patients with NSCLC who had cough after radical operation and were admitted to the hospital from January 2021to January 2023were selected. They were divided into the study group and the control group by random number table method, with 75cases in each group. The control group was given conventional treatment after operation, while the study group was treated with Sijun Bufei Decoction on the basis of the treatment of control group. The two groups were compared in terms of clinical efficacy, the Mandarin Chinese version of the Leicester Cough Questionnaire(LCQ-MC)score,pulmonary function[forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV,),forced vital capaci-ty(FVC)and peak expiratory flow(PEF)],and the levels of inflammatory factors[interleukin-4(IL-4),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-10(IL-10)and interferon γ(IFN-γ)].The incidence rates of adverse reactions were calculated. Results:The total clinical response rate in the study group after treatment was 90.67%,higher than 77.33%in the control group(P<0.05).Af-ter treatment, the LCQ-MC scores,FEV1,FVC,PEF and IFN-γ levels in the two groups increased. These indicators in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The daytime and nighttime cough scores, and the levels of IL-4,IL-6and IL-10decreased.These indicators in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no sig-nificant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Sijun Bufei Decoction is ef-fective in alleviating cough in patients with NSCLC after radical operation. It can effectively alleviate cough symptoms, and improve pulmonary function and inflammatory reactions.
