Efficacyof Qingre Chushi Decoction in the treatment of patients with dampness-heat internal retention type facial seb-orrheic dermatitis and the impact on facial skin barrier function and serum IL-2,IL-6and INF-γ levels
Objective:To study the efficacy of Qingre Chushi Decoction in the treatment ofpatients with dampness-heat internal retention type facial seborrheic dermatitis, and the impact on facial skin barrier function and serum interleukin-2(IL-2),interleu-kin-6(IL-6)and interferon-gamma(INF-γ)levels.Methods:A total of 82patients with facial SD(dampness-heat internal re-tentiontype)who were treated in the hospital from May 2020to May 2022were selected, and randomly divided into the treatment group and the control groupwith 41 patients in each group. The control group was treated with western medicine, and the treatment group was treated with Qingre Chushi Decoction on this basis.Efficacy,TCM syndrome scores, skin barrier function and inflammato-ry factorswere compared between the two groups. Results:The total treatment response rate in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores for primary and secondary symptoms such as red pimples, greasy scalesor patchesand itching, and the total score of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, stratum corneum hydration(SCH),epidermal lipid contentand skin pH in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group. The transepidermal water loss(TEWL)was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of IL-2 and INF-γ in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, and the level of IL-6was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Qingre Chushi Decoction is effective in the treatment of facial SD as it can significantly alleviate SD related symptoms, and improve facial skin barrier function and serum inflammatory factor levels.
