Abstract
Diction,sentence,paragraph,essay,and paper writing constitute the traditional writing instruction for English majors in Chinese college. An introduction of contrastive rhetoric may complete the pedagogy. At the level of vocabulary,sentence,and text,Eng⁃lish is quite different from Chinese,so the students'awareness of the language differences in their writing process is a crucial solution to the problem that the Chinese students'English writing is not grammatically and logically in accordance with the language features.
