数字普惠金融如何促进城市碳减排——理论与实证分析

摘要
碳达峰、碳中和事关中华民族伟大复兴和人类可持续发展,数字普惠金融是实现"双碳"目标的重要着力点.将数字普惠金融变量引入内生增长模型,并结合Kaya恒等式和STIRPAT模型进行理论分析,同时运用我国251个城市的数据进行实证分析,考察数字普惠金融对城市碳排放的影响及作用机制.研究发现,数字普惠金融能够促进城市碳减排,该结论在一系列稳健性检验下均成立.分维度看,数字普惠金融的碳减排效应主要通过提高数字金融覆盖广度、使用深度以及数字化程度实现.机制分析表明,数字普惠金融对城市碳减排的促进作用通过技术创新和产业结构优化实现.异质性分析表明,数字普惠金融在中心城市、创新型城市和智慧城市对碳减排具有更强的促进作用.进一步研究发现,数字普惠金融能够与传统金融协同发挥对城市碳减排的促进作用.
Abstract
Peak carbon dioxide emission and carbon neutrality are related to the great rejuvenation of the Chi-nese nation and the sustainable development of humanity,and digital inclusive finance is an important focus point in achieving the"dual carbon"goals.By introducing digital inclusive finance variables into endogenous growth model and combining Kaya's identity and STIRPAT model for theoretical analysis,this study examines the impact and ac-tion mechanism of digital inclusive finance on urban carbon emission by using the data from 251 China cities for an empirical analysis.It is found that digital inclusive finance can promote urban carbon reduction,and this conclusion is valid under a series of robustness tests.Seen from a multi-dimensional perspective,the carbon reduction effect of digital inclusive finance is achieved mainly by increasing the coverage breadth,use depth and digitization degree of digital finance.The mechanism analysis shows that the promoting effect of digital inclusive finance on urban carbon reduction is achieved through technological innovation and industrial structure optimization.The heterogeneity analy-sis shows that digital inclusive finance has a stronger promoting effect on carbon reduction in central cities,innova-tive cities and smart cities.Further research has found that digital inclusive finance can synergistically play a promo-ting role in urban carbon reduction with traditional finance.
