The access and use of digital information technology can effectively promote entrepreneurial activities, but there are significant differences in the exposure and application of digital information technology among different groups, leading to a new inequality.Based on the data from China Household Finance Survey(CHFS),this study empirically investigates the impact of digital divide on household entrepreneurial decision-making.The research results indicate that digital divide significantly suppresses family entrepreneurial decision-making,and the larger the digital divide faced by families, the lower the probability of making entrepreneurial decisions. The results are verified to be robust. This is because the digital divide weakens the social networks of decision-makers and reduces their risk preferences, and this inhibitory effect is stronger in rural families,non-first tier urban families,low-income families and low educational background groups. The digital divide mainly suppresses family-opportunity type entrepreneurship and first-time entrepreneurship, and also has a significant negative impact on family entrepreneurship performance and entrepreneurial willingness. Therefore, the government should formulate policies to alleviate digital divide and promote family entrepreneurial decision-making.
