The Report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposes that it is the central task of the CPC to build a modern socialist power in in all respects.Combined with China's development history and a series of policy and guidelines after the founding of the People's Republic of China,this study sorts out and analyzes the proposition of China's modernization path in its development evolution.It is found that,unlike the development process of the West,China's modernization cause is a modernization development path that truly suits China's national conditions,which begins with the establishment of the New China,adopts Marxism as the theoretical basis and value orientation,and gradually forms after a long period of exploration,practice and enrichment.Summarizing the essence and implication of Chinese modernization and clarifying in stages the development context of China's modernization path in different periods helps to deeply understand the basic connotation and multiple characteristics of Chinese modernization and provide policy recommendations for realizing and promoting the new journey of Chinese modernization.
