The Report to the 20th CPC National Congress points out that Chinese modernization is the central task of the CPC.In the process of human history,different countries chose different paths of modernization due to such factors as different national conditions,different institutions and different cultures.Britain is the first country in the world to complete industrialization,and its modernization experience was once borrowed by many countries around the world,but its modernization path has its problems that are difficult to overcome on its own.From a comparative perspective,drawing on the experience of British modernization and deeply understanding the shortcomings and lessons of British modernization path is of great theoretical significance for exploring Chinese modernization path as the largest developing country in the world.Accordingly,this study analyzes the similarities and differences between Chinese modernization and British modernization in order to deeply understand the similarities and differences between Chinese modernization and the modernization of Britain and other western developed countries.
