Analysis of a Partial Discharge Detection Case of 110 kV GIS Insulators
The ultra-high frequency partial discharge signals are found when using the ultra-high frequency method to detect par-tial discharge in the air chamber of a 110 kV line bay at a certain 220 kV substation. The location of the partial discharge point is determined using the time-of-arrival location method. The insulators inside the air chamber are sent back to the factory for inspec-tion.Through X-ray flaw detection test, partial discharge test and voltage withstand test, the causes of excessive partial discharge quantity of the insulators are identified, and the corresponding recommendations are proposed to provide reference for the analysis and handling of similar hidden dangers.
