Cause Analysis of a Cable Termination Insulation Breakdown Accident at the High-voltage Side of a 110 kV Transformer
An in-depth analysis is conducted on the cable termination insulation breakdown accident at the high-voltage side of a 110 kV transformer.The principle of insulation breakdown of cables is discussed,and the external appearance inspection and dis-assembly inspection are performed on the faulty cable termination.It is found that there are instances of local breakdown and sub-standard construction technology in the cable termination insulation.The possible causes of insulation breakdown of the cable ter-mination are analyzed from the aspects such as external force impact on cable termination,cable insulation body quality and in-stallation technology.The preventive measures are proposed to improve the installation quality and operation reliability of the ca-ble termination.
