Geological Characteristics and Carbon Sources Analysis in Graphite Deposit of Niubaikou area in Laiyang City in Shandong Province
Shandong province is an important graphite deposit area in China.Main genetic type of crystalline graphite is regional metamorphism. It occurs in Xucun section of the steep cliff formation of Jingshan group in Paleoproterozoic era. From a regional perspective, graphite deposits in Niubaikou mining area,Xixugezhuang,Daliangzikou,Shanqian Kuang and Lugezhuang all occur in the steep cliff formation of Jingshan group with obvious stratigraphic control and certain continuity. They develop in a northeast direc-tion along Jingshan anticline, and the overall scale of the ore body is relatively large with good prospecting prospects.Through summary and analysis of carbon isotope data of graphite deposits in Jingshan group in Jiaodong area,it is believed that the carbon source of graphite is the primary deposition of organic matter.Regional metamorphism leads to carbon isotope exchange between graphite and carbonate in marble, mixed diagenesis of carbon containing fluids leads to isotope exchange between graphite and fluids in gneiss, and carbon isotope fractionation leads to graphite isotope exchange δ13 C value is relatively light, while the δ13 C value of inorganic carbon is biased. There is no chemical change during the distillation process. Therefore, the carbon source of graphite deposits of Jingshan group in Jiaodong area should be or-ganic matter, while the carbon source of graphite deposits in the same type of Niubaikou mining area should be organic matter.
