Distribution Characteristics and Potential Ecological Risk Assessment of Heavy Metals in the Sea Area around Liugongdao Island
Based on the monitoring data of sediment samples from 16 stations in the surrounding waters of Liugongdao island,by using the single factor pollution evaluation method and the potential ecological haz-ard index method, heavy metal quality of surface sediment in the surrounding waters of Liugongdao Island has been evaluated. It is showed that the contents of Hg,Cd,Cu,Pb and Zn in the surface sediments in the study area are higher than that in shallow sea sediments in China with a certain degree of enrichment. The overall distribution trend is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. The first type of quality standard area accounts for about 55%,the second type of quality standard area accounts for about 45%,and there is no third type of quality standard sea area. The overall area is a medium ecological risk area, and the ranking of individual ecological risk indices from high to low is Hg>Cd>As>Cu>Pb>Co>Ni>Zn>Cr.Hg has a relatively high potential ecological hazard.
