The digitization of rock cores is based on technologies such as photography,scanning,image a-nalysis,and modeling,which convert rock cores into digital information and achieve long-term preserva-tion and remote use of rock core information.This article adopts a combination of literature review and em-pirical research to sort out the current status of physical rock core management and digital technology.Taking the construction of Weifang Rock Core Digital Application Platform as an example,it analyzes the promoting effect of rock core digitization on urban development.On this basis,this article systematically summarizes the significance of core digitization,proposes the main problems faced by core digitization work,and finally proposes targeted countermeasures and suggestions for core digitization work.
