The dress records the social culture,living customs and aesthetic consciousness of dif-ferent regions,and becomes a distinctive cultural symbol with regional characteristics.Based on the field investigation and the comparative study of the dress patterns of the Taiwan Paiwan and Hainan Li Nationality,the paper analyzes the common points of their dress formation,it provides the basis for the national costume art exchange between Taiwan and Hainan,broadens the idea of creative de-sign for costume designers,and promotes the national costume culture.
