Effect of Dispersion on the Accuracy of Laser Particle Size Analyzer Detection of Lithium Carbonate Particle Size Distribution
The particle size distribution of lithium carbonate samples was detected by Malvern laser particle size analyzer, and D10,D50 and D90 were used as evaluation indicators to study the influence of ultrasonic dispersion time, stirring speed, dispersant, refractive index, and absorption rate on the particle size distribution of lithium carbonate. The results showed that the dispersion effect of the ultrapure water-absolute ethanol(1:1)system was slightly higher than that of the absolute ethanol system, but considering the energy recycling factor, the absolute ethanol was preferred as the dispersant.Adhering to the concept of energy saving and consumption reduction, the optimal critical values for ultrasonic dispersion time and stirring speed are 3min and 2500 r/min respectively.Since the particle size distribution is close to the standard normal distribution when the refractive index and absorptivity are 1.59 and 0.1 respectively, these values are preferred for the refractive index and absorptivity. The relative standard deviations of D10,D50 and D90 are all less than 3%through repeatability and intermediary testing.Combined with the high consistency of the particle size distribution tested by the scanning electron microscope and the laser particle size analyzer,it shows that the test method has high stability and test effect.Significant, conducive to promotion.
