Design,Preparation and Biodegradability of Polylactic Acid Tapes
With the rapid development of express delivery, the demand for tapes is increasing.Due to the inferior degradation and high recycling costs of commonly used polyester and polypropylene films, the development of environmentally friendly materials has become one of the important tasks at present. As a biodegradable polymer material derived from renewable resources, polylactic acid(PLA)has good biocompatibility and biodegradability, and has shown great potential in the applications of packaging materials, medical devices and other fields.A new type of degradable PLA tape was designed and prepared in this work.PLA with high molecular weight was used as the backing material, and derivatives of PLA with low molecular weight was used as tackifier. The degradability of the tape was improved significantly. The degradation rate of the prepared PLA tape can reach 69%after 7 days, and can reach 95%after 45 days.By exploring the effects of different tape backing materials and their thickness on bonding performance and biodegradability, this study may provide reference for the development of environmentally friendly adhesive products.
