Study on SPWM Modulation Strategy for Vienna Rectifier Considering Current Zero-crossing Distortion
Space vector pulse width modulation(SVPWM)is widely used in Vienna rectifier control;however, the calcula-tion amount of SVPWM is large, which makes it difficult to implement in the high switching frequency control of Vienna rectifier.Besides, the unidirectional power transmission characteristic of the Vienna rectifier may easi-ly cause zero-crossing distortion in the output current. To address the above issues, firstly, the relational expres-sion between the expected output voltage and the PWM comparison value during the sinusoidal pulse width modulation(SPWM)process of the Vienna rectifier under normal conditions is given in this paper.Further, the mechanism of current zero-crossing distortion is analyzed.Afterwards,a SPWM modulation strategy for Vienna rectifier considering current zero-crossing distortion is proposed based on the idea of minimizing errors. The simulation experiments show that the SPWM modulation strategy for Vienna rectifier considering current zero-crossing distortion can significantly reduce the current zero-crossing distortion and improve current quality. The THD of grid-connected current can be reduced from 2.48%to 1.1%after the proposed modulation strategy is applied.
