Effects of Tissue-specific Expression of FHY3 on Cell Death of fhy3far1 in Arabidopsis Thaliana
To investigate the mechanism of light signaling protein FHY3 and its homologous protein FAR1 on the leaves cell death,two sets of transgenic plants in Arabidopsis thaliana that FHY3 particularly expressed in the vascular bundle or mesophyll cells were generated in the fhy3far1 double mutant background.The results show that FHY3 expressed in vascular bundles completely rescue the leaves cell death phenotype of fhy3far1,however,FHY3 specific expressed in the mesophyll cells only largely rescue the cell death phenotype of fhy3far1,so FHY3 plays an essential role in regulating leaf cell death mainly occurring in the vascular bundles.
