Water Quality Evaluation of Groundwater by Improved Matter-element Extension Method——A Case Study in the West Area of Xuecheng District,Zaozhuang City,Shandong Province
To accurately evaluate the water quality of shallow groundwater in the west area of Xuecheng District,Zaozhuang City,Shandong Province,11 groups of groundwater samples were collected, and mathematical statistical analy-sis and graphic method were comprehensively used to explore the source and characteristics of the chemical components of groundwater in the study area. The principle of variance maximization was introduced to improve the matter-element extension evaluation method to evaluate the water quality of the study area, which was compared with the fuzzy compre-hensive evaluation method. The results show that the shallow groundwater in the study area is mainly brackish water and fresh water, and the order of ion content from high to low is HCO3-,SO42-,Ca2+,Cl-,Na+,Mg2+,K+,and the main type of groundwater is SO4-Ca type. The chlor-alkali index shows that positive and negative cation exchange exists in the study area. The water quality in the northern part of the study area is good, and that in the southern part is poor. The improved matter-element extension evaluation method can better reflect the real situation of groundwater quality in the study area than the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.
