Analysis on Carbon Storage Changes in Shapotou National Nature Reserve of Ningxia Based on Land Use Data
To study the effect of land use type change on temporal-spatial distribution of carbon storage in Shapotou National Nature Reserve of Ningxia, land use data from 1990 to 2020 were used, and patch-generated land use simulation(PLUS)model and integrated valuation of ecosystem services and trade-offs(InVEST)model were used to study the response of carbon storage in the research region to the changes in land use types and carbon storage under different scenarios in 2030.The results show that the unused land area in the research region continuously decreases, while the area of grassland and cultivated land increase from 1990 to 2020.The conversion of unused land to grassland and the higher carbon density of grassland led to the increase of grassland carbon storage. In 2030,the carbon storages of the research region under the natural change scenario and ecological protection scenario increase by 2.39×105 t and 1.05 × 105 t,respectively, while the carbon storage under the cultivated land protection scenario decreases by 0.1×105 t.The natural change scenario is more conducive to improving the carbon storage of the research region.
