Diagnosis and control of Marek's disease in chickens
Mark's disease(MD)is a highly infectious disease caused by herpes virus.Marek's disease usually affects chickens more than 2 months of age.The disease is known for its high infectivity,widespread prevalence,and unique mononuclear cell infiltration of various organs and tissues,which seriously threatens the health of poultry.Therefore,its accurate diagnosis,effective prevention and accurate control are extremely critical and necessary,especially in improving production efficiency and reducing economic losses,its role is very important.This paper comprehensively expounds the pathogenesis,clinical manifestations,pathological changes and laboratory diagnostic methods of the disease,and emphasizes the strengthening of the prevention strategy and vaccination as the basic principles of the prevention and treatment of the disease.
