In the field of laying chicken farming,cold and heat stress have become important factors affecting the production performance and egg quality of laying hens.Heat stress usually occurs in high temperature and high humidity environments,while cold stress is commonly found in low temperature and dry or low temperature and high humidity environments.Both of these stress states can have adverse effects on the physiological functions and metabolic processes of laying hens,thereby affecting their production performance and egg quality.This article explores the mechanism of the effects of cold and heat stress on the production performance and egg quality of laying hens,in order to provide effective scientific basis for comprehensive prevention and control strategies to reduce cold and heat stress.
