文章通过访谈和记录,以综述的方式再现过去10多年间5位国内外研究者在广州西关开展设计、研究和教学的心得,旨在探讨为何以及如何在国际视野中看待西关,并讨论广州老城区、老街坊的使用、复兴和延续.其中,李睿博士和李睿建筑师描述了西关的"水-地"关系,奥山信一教授讨论了中日城市中相似的"混沌"状态,王方戟教授留意到西关城市和建筑尺度背后的生动性,方馥兰教授体会到西关独特的时间和生活层次感.这些不同的视角和阅读方法,展示了"外来者"对广州西关的解读和对遗产都市主义主题的思考.
Abstract
Based on interviews and records,the article tries to reproduce an overview of the experiences of five domestic and international researchers who have been conducting design research and teaching in Sai Kwan,Guangzhou,over the past 10 years.Among them,Dr.Li Rui and Architect Li Rui described the relationship between"water"and"land,"Professor Okuyama Shin'ichi discussed the"chaotic"state of similar cities in China and Japan,Professor Wang Fangji noticed the vividness behind the scale between cities and buildings,and Professor Francesca Frassoldati appreciated the unique sense of different layers in time and life.These different approaches to reading and understanding the city are not only to present the perspective of"outsiders,"but also an attempt to show how the researchers established their awareness of the city,natural water,and urban architecture by facing a non-traditional and atypical urban phenomenon,how they reflect on the theme of heritage urbanism.Through such academic exchanges,we will explore why and how Sai Kwan shoud be viewed from an international perspective while discussing the usage,revitalization,and continuation of old downtown areas in Guangzhou.
