文章围绕北京电报大楼的设计及其历史,从大楼的现状出发,回顾20世纪50年代至今在北京城市文化生活中的特殊地位及与长安街的紧密关系,追溯大楼设计初期的时代背景,揭示其与双塔寺之间的历史关系以及彼时苏联思潮对建筑设计的影响;由此,文章尝试品读林乐义总建筑师如何在时代诉求下用现代建筑手段实现经典设计,并通过对同时期建筑师作品间的比照,讨论其实践在时代中的当代性.
Abstract
The article explores the Beijing Telegraph Building's design history,examining its enduring significance in the city's cultural life and its ties to Chang'an Avenue.It delves into the building's early design context,highlighting its historical link to the Shuangta Temple and the impact of Soviet architectural trends.The focus is on how chief architect Lin Leyi synthesized modern techniques with classical design in response to the era's demands,and how his work compares with contemporaneous architects,reflecting its contemporary relevance.
