On Urban RegenerationFrom Sustainable Development Goals to Shanghai Practice
Urban regeneration has gradually become a core issue in urban development,social governance,and industry transformation from a new phenomenon.However,there are obvious difficulties in understanding the connotation and significance of such an interdisciplinary and grandiose object.Starting from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs),and based on the first-hand materials accumulated through years of practice and research,this paper demonstrates the"spectrum of issues"that may be involved in urban regeneration from the first-person perspective,thus suggesting the multidimensionality of the topic of urban regeneration in practice,and pointing out that sustainable urban regeneration is one of the objective demands for the existence of the city as an organism.
