Study on calculation method of natural vibration period of flat-arm tower crane
The natural vibration period of tower crane is a fundamental property,which is related to the selection of dynamic wind-induced vibration coefficient,impacting the calculation of wind load and the assessment of the tower body.This paper,taking Yongmao 5513 tower-cap crane and Zhongtian 6513 flat-head tower crane as examples,simplifies the rigidity of the tower body,and further models the tower crane as a single-degree-of-freedom model.It derives a simplified formula for the natural vibration period,validating its feasibility through a comparative analysis of field tests and finite element simulations.A correction factor,accounting for the influence of tower crane mass distribution,is introduced to refine the simplified formula.The results show that the calculated results of the simplified formula for the tower crane's natural vibration period are in close alignment with the measured values,and the simplified formula can be used in rough calculation of the tower crane's natural vibration period.According to the finite element simulation results,the modified formula for the simplified natural vibration period of the tower crane is provided,and the recommended values and linear interpolation formulas for the correction coefficients are offered for both tower cap and flat-head tower cranes.
