Study on seismic performance of RC frame structure with basement considering SSI effect
Soil-Structure Interaction(SSI)effect plays a crucial role in the seismic performance analysis of reinforced concrete(RC)frame structures with basements.Utilizing modal analysis and dynamic time history analysis through finite element software, this paper explores the seismic performance of RC frame structures with three distinct embedding models:basement roof embedding, foundation top surface embedding, and soil embedding around the basement considering SSI effect. The findings indicate that, the natural vibration period of the RC frame structures with basement considering SSI effect significantly extends, accompanied by a reduction in central column shear force, acceleration across each layer, and interlayer displacement angle. The foundation top surface embedding model, which neglects SSI effect, yields relatively conservative results;while SSI effect on RC frame structures with basements will have a significant seismic reduction impact.
