The influence of bearing vacancy on the cooperative performance of spanned hollow slab bridge
Hollow slab bridge is among the most common types for medium and small span bridges.A significant issue with these structures is bearing void, which alters the bridge's stress system, negatively affects the hollow slab, hinge joints and widened wet joints, and even lead to severe cracking or damage. In order to solve this problem, this study analyses the influence of uneven settlement on the bearing, the impact of bearing void on the bridge structure and the lifting measures. The results indicate that the uneven settlement of the split-width bridge will lead to uneven bearing force or even void. The void of some bearings will aggravate the uneven stress of other bearings, make them void or crushed, and increase the transverse tensile stress of hollow slab, hinge joint and widened wet joint, which may lead to cracking.Reducing the vertical stiffness of the bearing can improve the distribution of the reaction force of the bearing and control the occurrence of the bearing void.
