Tracking control of temperature and humidity for air handling units based on backstepping control
A backstepping controller with multiple design parameters is proposed for temperature and humidity tracking control of AHUs under uncertain strength of the humidity source and temperature gradient in cooling unit.To simplify the design, the dynamic model of the AHUs is first transformed into state space form.By introducing a state transformation with a gain, the tracking control problem of the original system is converted to the stability control of the transformed new system. The backstepping controller is designed step by step, and by selecting appropriate design parameters, the tracking control objectives for both temperature and humidity are achieved. The stability of the closed-loop system is thoroughly analyzed, accompanied by a comprehensive proof process. The results show the simulation outcomes validate the efficacy of the proposed controller, and a comparative analysis with a PID controller underscores its superior tracking capabilities.
