Research on the remixing of water-absorbent resin for subway plugging
On the basis of investigation and analysis of the current situation of subway leakage, treatment methods and grouting materials, experimental research on the application of water-absorbent resin for plugging were carried out.A deep, medium and shallow composite water sealing method based on absorbent resin is proposed in this paper to provide a new idea for subway leakage plugging. The absorbent resin was mixed with the common plugging material acrylate to test the gel time, microstructure, and the stability under dry and wet cycle conditions. The results show that adding absorbent resin significantly reduces the gel time of acrylate and enhances the sealing effect. In general, the gel time is shorter with the larger the number of absorption resin(that is,the smaller the particles),and the water absorption resin particles can be better coated by the acrylic gel. Moreover, the composite gel material has no fine cracks, which further enhances the water resistance. Finally,a double-channel grouting pump construction process is proposed for applying the absorbent resin in subway leak sealing. In this process, one channel is used to transport acrylate in liquid form, the other channel is used to transport absorbent resin with compressed air as medium, and mixed into the crack at the end of the double channel,so as to apply the composite gel material to the seepage control of deep cracks under dynamic water conditions.
