A comparative study on economy and population urbanization in Shandong Province
The coordinated development of economy-population urbanization is crucial for achieving high-quality of new urbanization.Based on the intrinsic relationship of economy-population urbanization,this study conducts a quantitative analysis of the overall characteristics,spatial differences and correlations between economic and population urbanization in Shandong Province from the time and space series,and probes into the spatial-temporal characteristics and the correlation trend of economy-population urbanization,and explores the development strategy of new urbanization in Shandong Province.The results indicate that while the level of economic urbanization in Shandong Province is relatively high,population urbanization lags behind.The economic and population urbanization exhibit a spatial structure of"Two high,two low,two cores"alongside a"cross"shaped rapid development belt.The overall spatial correlation between the two shows P>0.1 and Z<1.65,indicating a localized pattern of differentiated clustering and a diminishing linear correlation over the time.Based on the actual development situation in different regions,Shandong Province should take industrial transformation and population transformation as the basic ideas,adopt a differentiated development paths to achieve a healthy development of economic-population urbanization.
