Effect of ionic co-doping on photocatalytic performance of strontium titanate
SrTiO3 photocatalyst,as a kind of perovskite oxide,is featured by strong REDOX ability and environmental friendliness and has been widely used in the fields of hydrogen production by water decomposition and degradation of organic pollutants. The photocatalyst SrTiO3 was prepared by hydrothermal method and the band structure was optimized by Pr/N co-doping.The structure, morphology, specific surface area and photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate of the catalyst were analyzed to evaluate the effect of Pr/N co-doping on the performance of SrTiO3.The results show that with the forbidden band width Eg decreasing by 0.3 eV and the hydrogen precipitation rate increasing by 62.3 times to 3.552 mmol·g-1·h-1,Pr/N-SrTiO3 has a better cyclic stability compared with undoped SrTiO3.The presence of co-doped ions,Pr/N,prolongs the lifetime of carriers and improves the separation efficiency of carriers in SrTiO3.
