Green technology innovation is an important force for China to achieve the transformation from old to new economic drivers.The vigorous development of green finance has a profound impact on the level of green technology innovation in various regions of China.How to improve the level of regional green technology innovation is currently the focus of academic attention.This article uses panel data from 30 provinces(cities and autonomous regions)in China to explore the impact and underlying mechanisms of green finance on re-gional green technology innovation.Research has found that green finance can significantly enhance the level of regional green technology innovation,and this promotion effect has regional heterogeneity.At the same time,regional green technology innovation can be improved through strengthening environmental regulations and promoting industrial structure transformation and upgrading.Further analysis reveals that green finance has a positive spatial effect on regional green technology innovation in China.
