Carrying out social education activities is an important means for museums to provide cultural services to the public and enhance the public's awareness of culture and history, which is also an important social responsibility of museums.Currently, social education activities in museums are mostly conducted in state-owned museums, while those in non-state-owned museums are comparatively less.Social education ac-tivities in non-state-owned museums are more profitable and selective compared to those in state-owned mu-seums.In terms of public cultural services,non-state-owned museums are more flexible, showing advantages in extending service boundaries, cooperating with external forces, and integrating with communities. From a practical perspective, the current ways to enhance the social education activities of non-state-owned museums can be carried out by creating museum cultural IP,strengthening cooperation with external forces, leveraging the integration of culture and tourism, and fully utilizing the role of volunteer groups.
