Studies on Domain of Deterministic Wave Prediction Based on Point Measurement
The real-time prediction of waves can be applied in many fields. In this paper,a wave prediction method is established based on linear theory and the range of the theoretical predictable domain is derived under single-point measurement,multi-point measurement, and moving-point measurement conditions.Based on this theory,a discriminant indicator, energy ratio m0,is provided based on physical interpretation to determine the predictable domain. The effectiveness of deterministic wave prediction is verified through physical wave tank experiments. An analysis is conducted on the different wave measurement conditions, indicating that when the energy ratio m0 threshold is set to 0.01,a good agreement is achieved between the calculated waves within the predictable domain and the actual waves.Additionally, the influencing factors of the predictable domain under different measurement conditions are discussed.
