Study on Mesh Generation Algorithm for Ship Hull Boundary Layer
On requirement of CFD rapid analysis in ship engineering,mesh generation algorithm for ship hull boundary layer is investigated in this paper,and a skinning algorithm for ship hull is developed based on the hull lines.In account of the different requirements of the hull surface viscous boundary layer to mesh in tangential and normal directions,Delaunay triangularization method is used to generate unstructured triangular mesh on hull surface,while in boundary layer,and the local frontier advancement idea is adopted to generate laminar prismatic mesh layer by layer.In order to correctly delete the mesh out of the concave and multi-connected domains,ordered boundary point interpolation method is proposed for Delaunay triangularization.Within the boundary layer,cut-and-fill method is proposed for the mesh growth in large curvature domains,and a control factor considering the geometric curvature is introduced to improve the calculation method of the mesh growth height.
