Research on the Size of Entry Protection Coal-pillar in Goaf Driven Roadway During Coal Pillar Group Mining
Taking the coal pillar recovery working face in the fifth panel of Zhaozhuang Coal Mine as the research background, the theoretical calculation showed that the reserved size of coal pillars along the goaf should not be less than 4.1 m.Numerical simulation is used to analyze the surrounding rock stress and plastic zone of coal pillars with different widths during excavation and mining. The numerical simulation scheme designed a total of 8 reserved coal pillar sizes, including 4 m,5 m,6 m,17 m,18 m,19 m,20 m,and 25 m.Finally, the optimal reasonable size of coal pillars is determined to be 19 m.The on-site mine pressure monitoring results show that after leaving a 19 m wide coal pillar for roadway protection and providing reasonable support, the stability of the surrounding rock of the goaf roadway can be improved, which can meet the safety production requirements of the working face and achieve safe and efficient recovery of residual coal pillars in the five panel area.
