Research on Risk Assessment of Abandoned Mines in Fengfeng Mining Area
With the depletion of shallow layer coal resources and industrial adjustments, most small size mines in the Fengfeng mining area are closed, and abandoned mines pose a risk of causing groundwater pollution. In order to grasp the process and risks of groundwater pollution after pit closure in abandoned mines, identify the main environmental risks of abandoned mines, the risk levels of water-conducting passageway clearage and blockage, and further screen out abandoned mines with higher groundwater pollution levels, give priority to implement backfilling works.A risk assessment is conducted by taking 34 abandoned mines within the territory within the Fengfeng mining area as the research object.Through comprehensive evaluation methods such as risk identification, risk assessment index system construction, risk calculation, level classification and so on,a total of 10 high risk level mines,8 medium risk level mines, and 16 low risk level mines are classified, which can provide reference for the risk assessment of abandoned mines in the Fengfeng area and areas with similar situation, and lay the foundation for later well sealing and backfilling governance work.
