Dynamic characteristics and reliability research of hub bearing based on FEM
A dynamic reliability study was conducted on a certain type of automobile wheel hub face-to-face double-row tapered roller bearing using Workbench software based on mechanical simulation analysis.Firstly, the simplified bearing model was established and a 3D model was built using SolidWorks.Secondly, modal and harmonic response analysis of the bearing was carried out using Workbench to obtain displacement and equivalent stress cloud maps under both unloaded and loaded conditions, and to extract dynamic performance parameters such as the first 10 orders of the unloaded state and the first 6 orders of the loaded state. Then, the reliability analysis of the bearing was conducted using the 6 Sigma analysis module in Workbench. Finally, the bearing's reliability and sensitivity to reliability were obtained by loading incremental load spectra. The results showed that they were in basic agreement with the actual situation of the automobile wheel hub bearing. The simulation and reliability research of automobile wheel hub bearings under different working conditions can provide a certain basis for the kinematic and dynamic calculation and analysis of faulty bearings.
