Design of a passenger car brake disc based on multidisciplinary optimization
The research object was a ventilated front brake disc of a certain passenger car.The main structural parameters of the brake disc was used as design variables for optimizing the design of the brake disc. The optimization design of the brake disc was constrained by a single brake temperature rise,10 consecutive brake temperature rises, thermal deformation, mode, and stress.Meanwhile, minimizing the mass of the brake disc was the goal of optimizing the design of the brake disc.Multidisciplinary joint optimization design of brake discs was conducted based on the created response surface analysis model,to provide theoretical basis and reference for multidisciplinary joint optimization design of automotive brake discs. The results showed that the simulation analysis results of the brake disc after multidisciplinary joint optimization met the requirements. The error values of the multidisciplinary joint optimization results of the brake disc based on the response surface analysis model were within an acceptable range, which indicated that the multidisciplinary joint optimization results of brake discs were reliable.
