Sensitivity analysis and tolerance research on wheel alignment of double wishbone suspension
Wheel alignment is particularly important in the development and production of chassis suspension systems.The double wishbone suspension system adds components and articulation points compared to the common MacPherson suspension system,so wheel alignment of double wishbone is more difficult to control.Regarding this issue,firstly hardpoints was analyzed with suspension system K&C(kinematics and compliance),and to be ensured that the dynamic change rate of wheel alignment parameters in a reasonable range,and then the key hardpoints of the double wishbone was analyzed with the sensitivity,adjustment scheme and adjustment values were developed with the engineering operation convenient position.Finally,tolerance of dimensional chain of wheel alignment parameters was analyzed and researched,and component tolerances and vehicle assembly tolerances were strictly controlled,so as to ensure that the suspension system meets the consistency requirements of wheel alignment parameters in mass production,and avoids the occurrence of abnormal tire wear out and steering deviation problems.
