A noise-reducing tee and structure optimization based on flow field analysis
Tee piping,as a structure used for daily gas/liquid piping, generates noise due to the complex flow field formed when the fluid passes through it.A computer simulation was used to analyze the flow field inside the tee and to optimize the structure of the tee to change the flow field conditions inside the tee in order to reduce the noise generated by the fluid passing through the tee.The optimal parameters were found according to the designed orthogonal experiment. After calculation, the improved tee structure had a good noise reduction effect compared with the ordinary tee pipe, reducing noise by about 14 dB at a measurement point of 1 m under the working condition of 2.5 L/s water flow.
