Water and Fertilizer Coupling on Growth Characteristics of Ailanthus altissima'Liaohong'Seedlings
In order to explore the effects of water-fertilizer coupling on the growth characteristics of Ailanthus altissima'Liaohong',the two-factor orthogonal experimental design was used to analyze the effects of different irrigation amounts(30%~40%of the field water holding capacity,W1,50%~60%,W2,70%~80%,and W3)and N-P2O5-K2O application amounts(0-0-0 g/plant.F0,2-1-1.5 g/plant,F1,4-2-3 g/plant,F2,6-3-4.5 g/plant,F3)combinations on growth indexes such as plant height, ground diameter, leaf area, leaf number and biomass allocation of A.altissima'Liaohong'seedlings.The results showed that water and fertilizer treatments had highly significant effects on all growth indexes, and the water-fertilizer coupling had significant effects on plant height, ground diameter, stem, fine and coarse root biomass at the later stage of the experiment. The W2F2 treatment had the most obvious promotional effect on plant height, ground diameter and leaf growth. The total biomass of A.altissima'Liaohong'achieved the maximum value under W2F2 treatment, and the fertilizer level of F3 treatment reduced the biomass of each part. The root-crown ratio, volume index, and Dickson quality index of A.altissima'Liaohong'under W2F2 treatment were all maximum and significantly higher than other treatments. The height to diameter ratio was minimum under W1F0 treatment. Therefore, the best combination among the different water-fertilizer combinations was the W2F2 treatment, which significantly promoted the growth and biomass accumulation of A.altissima'Liaohong'seedlings.
